I am a PhD student originally from Glasgow, Scotland and studying at the University of Edinburgh. I am interested in the origins of words, myths, constructs and human endeavour. My field of expertise is literature, specifically modernist, mediaeval, Italian and English literature, although my successful application to the TV show 'Mastermind' also included specialities on Pre-Socratic philosophy, the history of the Electric Guitar and the poet Robert Graves.

My ambition is to be St. Albert the Great. Except different.
