CivSoc is a common abbrieviation for Civil Engineering Society which is a student run society that can be found at most Universities in the UK.

Another active Civil Engieering Society in the UK is University of Nottingham's Students Union Society CivSoc.

CivSoc, the University of Nottingham's Civil Engineering Society, is designed to bring together the four years of the course (and occasionally the staff!) in a variety of different activities. These include: social nights out, balls, paintballing, football, hockey, trips to Alton Towers and sites. It is a great way to get to know people on your course which can always prove useful when you require a little extra help with your work!
