Hi. My purpose and intent with this template was to build a simple one line prompt offering helpful links in a passive, polite manner. I did not want something which was bulky, overly full of links, was preachy, or intimidating to others.ThuranX 18:24, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Since this is one of the defining principles of Wikipedia, it is completely unnecessary to have a special template for it. Adam Bishop 16:40, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Actually, thee is a need. It's been applied to a few pages, and will probably be appliled to more. As I said, it was designed to prompt good writing in a polite manner, and has been used on pages where lots of rumors are applied without substantiation. A calm reminder can be a valuable thing.
