City of Rocks State Park (New Mexico)

The City of Rocks State Park is located in Grant County, in southwestern New Mexico in the southwestern United States. It is situated within an unusual formation of rocky outcroppings composed of welded volcanic ash. It provides opportunities for camping, picnicing, wildlife viewing, and dark night-sky viewing (including a 14-inch (36 cm) telescope). Nearby are the communities of Silver City and Deming.
