On New Year's Day 1997, a car accident in London, England claims the lives of Raphael (Lai) and Vivian (Qi) who were once young lovers during their days at the University of Hong Kong but had drifted apart and eventually ended up marrying other people and raising their own families. After their funeral, Raphael's son and Vivian's daughter come to realize that their parents were having an affair and embark on a journey to discover the secret lives of their parents and in the end, the two end up falling in love.
