The Department of Journalism and Publishing [1] at City University is one of the world’s leading journalism schools, and generally considered the "Oxbridge of journalism".

Its primary emphasis is the professional practice of journalism and the role of practioners within the societies they serve.

The Department is situated within City University's Grade II listed College Building, which dates from 1894.
