[edit] Holes
- The first hole, the second-shortest on the course, has no standard hazards, however, a sliced shot can land in the car park or a hooked shot can land in the shrubbery and trees to the left, which also protects the left hand side of the green
- Shortening in the past few years has made the green more reachable for high-handicappers, a raised verge at the back caring for any over-hit irons, though the tall trees to the left are stiff punishment for any hooked tee-shots
- The shortest hole in Leeds? A full blooded lob-wedge or short sand-wedge to a rounded green leaves a good chance for a birdie for those with a consistent short-game length
- Another good birdie chance. A drawn long-iron or fairway-wood straight over the ridge should put you within pitching distance of the green
- A mid iron to a deceptively distant and elevated green, however a poorly shaped and maintained bunker is unseen from the tee, which will catch a slightly pulled tee-shot
- A daunting drainage ditch will see to any topped drives and ridges to the left and right mean a good length and shape are required to hit and stay on the fairway. A damaged front portion of the green encourages a lofted second or third shot and an inconsistent run on the green can lead to high scoring
- Those daring to take driver risk the drainage ditch to the right and a sunken tree to left, which the fairway camber leads to. Otherwise the safest line to the green is a long iron to the right of the fairway
- Down-sloping ridges surrounding and swampish rough to the front of the green mean that a lofted iron is the only direct route to the green
- A bunker to the left and friendly ridges to the right mean the safest line is surely to the right, those shooting the green will be left with a rewarding stroll with the bar just yards away
