[edit] Cisco Catalyst 1900 Series Switches

A 19" rack mountable, managed 10baseT ethernet switch with 100baseT/100baseFX uplink ports. Used mainly for wiring closets and end users. This product has reached end of life (EOL) and is no longer supported by Cisco.

The switch was available in 12 and 24 port models with either 2x100baseT uplink ports or 1 fibre and 1 copper 100Mbps uplink ports

The 1900 series came with 2 software versions.

  • Standard - A menu based software
  • Enterprise - Menu based but with a command line option. Command line not IOS, but with many similarities.

The last software version released was 9.00.07

  • VLANS (4 can be configured)

  • Optional web based configuration

  • 10BaseT ports 12 or 24 Full Duplex
  • 100BaseT ports 1 or 2 Full Duplex
  • 100BaseFX ports 1 (on 1924F) Full Duplex
  • AUI port


  • Internal AC power supply
  • DC connector for external DC power (Cisco RPS)
