Cinnamon Toast Records was a record label, inspired by the American label Simple Machines, from Halifax run by Walter Forsyth, Lee Ann Gillan, Shawn Duggan, Colin MacKenzie and Robert Jeans, and for a while Miroslav Wiesner was the graphic artist. They released a number of 7" singles, each in a different colour. Also released was a complilation CD and LP: Trim Crusts if Desired. They went on to release a Rebecca West CD and LP as well as a number of full length Plumtree CDs. Their first release was the soon to be signed to SUBPOP all lady band; JALE's first recording- a red 7" single called Aunt Betty.
