This is a show at Disneyland Paris in the Walt Disney Studios Park that opened in 2002 starring Martin Short.

[edit] Plot

The show starts out as any Disney show would start the guests set seated, the lights dim, the host or hostess comes up and tells you to not smoke, the exits, turn off cell phones and so on. They say that today you are going to see a movie on the history of the movies. They leave and the movie starts with old black-and-white film. In a couple of seconds you hear a cell phone ring. A person on the left isle in the front section wearing a brown suit and glasses gets up, gets his phone, and starts talking and walking toward the stage being pursued by the host/hostess. He shakes them loose and gets on stage and starts talking about his lost luggage.

The Age of Black-and-White (pantomime)

Meanwhile, the two Arabian lovers on screen are kissing but then see him and try to make him stop. They can't go on with the film with him babbling there so, they go to the wizard for help. They arrive and point him out and the magican (also annoyed) makes a magical gesture towards him. All of a sudden you see smoke around the guy and he disappears. The magican makes another gesture towards a spot on the floor on the screen. Again you see the smoke and he appears on the screen. He wonders where he is then the guy lover walks over an punches the guy in the nose. The magican and guy lover satified leave while the girl, feeling sorry for the new-comer, walks over to the guy, takes off his glasses and he wakes up and they fall in love. The jelous guy lover is seen behind with a machete in hand.

He pulls back the girl and attacks with an over the head downward thrust. The guy jumps away while the machete crashes to the ground just missing his cell phone which he grabs and takes off screen. To get away he climbs out a window to find he's on the ledge of a tall apartment building but, he got away from the madman but left his girl. He found a emergency stair-case and made it to the ground. Just when he thought he was safe, a pie was thrown at his face. He looks down the street and everyone including Charlie Chaplin and Laurel & Hardy were throwing pies at each other. He get in the action but throws a pie into an upset, fat, bald man presumingly the mayor. Everything stops and he says, "I'm so sorry! Hey! I can talk!"

The Age of Black-and-White (Sound)

He is abruptly interrupted by a gangster. While trying to have an alibi and not get shot, two guys knock over some barrels and take the attention away from the guy and he runs. The gang see him and start shooting in desperation he jumps through a window. As he gets up the color fills in

Modern Film (Westerns)

This time he's in the old west. At his arrival, everyone is looking at him as if he were the target. Then it goes into the "in the face", up close, showdown shots. Then his cell phone starts ringing. The guy looks at them, they shake their heads (no) as if saying 'don't go for it'. ...He goes for it and runs, they all start shooting at him. Meanwhile, he's trying to talk to the airport. He drops his phone and runs into a shed. He then realises it's filled with Dynamite. One of the cowboys shoots the shed and it blows up.

Modern Films (gerenal)

POOF! Out he comes out of a chimney by Mary Poppins. Then he gets sucked into the song "Stepin' Time". Meanwhile, the girl followed him and is coming out of the shattered window. She gets western clothes and colored. She hears the phone and rushes to find him but only finds the phone. Bummed out by what's happening, the guy walks down a rainy city street. Some one with an umbrella rushes up to him, it was the girl! She gave him the phone, he put in his jacket pocket and asked if there were any calls but she didn't speak English. To help her across a puddle he puts down his jacket and she goes across. He picked up his jacket and to be playful he jumps in with both feet but falls through and disappeares. She can't get through even the way he entered.

Modern Films (Titanic)

He sees the Nautilus (Verne) and Pinocchio worried. He suddenly gets chased by Monstro. You see a ship. He gets helped out onto the bow by a look-out The look-out says, "The pool is on the Lido deck." He says, "Oh, I wasn't swimming. You see I was just chased by a giant cartoon whale. It was realy, realy (seeing the iceberg) BIG!" Crash! You see Jack calling for his life. The guy hears him and goes to help him but instead behind every door is a surprise like Trois Hommes et un Couffin, John Cleese naked from A Fish Called Wanda, Clouseau in Kato attack position, the Exorcist, Sully from Monsters Inc and Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs. With every door the water fills the hallway more. The last doors open up and hands grab him. It's the girl disguised as a Stormtrooper; yes, they're in Star Wars. Darth Vader walks by, but they escape and end up in medieval times.

Modern Films (Medieval)

The sun rises and they see knights and he says, "Wait, Wait Oh This can't be good." They make friends with the knights and say he comes form and wants to go there. points out into the theater. Just as the knight was going to plunge his sword through the screen havoc broke loose. Everyone was fighting. An arrow was flung towards the girl, He saw it and jumped in front of her. She screamed and everything stopped. He just sat there looking asleep with is eyes closed. The arrow went right through his heart. The knight had to remove it, she looked away, he pulled...out came a cell phone! It started to ring, It startled the knight and waked him up. Thinking the thing was evil the knight threw it to the ground and stomped on it with armor on. The guy said, "I wonder if that was the airport?" But the knight didn't understand but, it din't matter they were together. The knight walked to the tallest hill and lightning struck his sword. He threw it out of the screen and it ripped. The guy walked through but, when the girl tried she turned black-and-white and acted trapped. He gave instructions and she tried but they couldn't. Finally, the magican came and made a magical door and said, "It’s a door. What are you waiting for? Turn the knob." He did and walked trough. They lived happily ever CUT! That's a wrap! Print it! Good Job people!
