[edit] Synopsis
Joey goes to Boston to see AJ get a writing award. At the train station, she is greeted by AJ’s friend, Morgan. Joey sees that AJ and Morgan’s relationship is a mirror of Dawson’s and her relationship. She breaks AJ’s heart when she tells him to go be with Morgan.
Gail prepares her new restaurant for opening. Jen asks to be a server. Dawson enlists his father’s help at the restaurant much to the dismay of Gail. After realizing she needs help, Gail hires Mitch as General Manager and gains Bodie as a partner.
Pacey is assigned to mentor a difficult child. They visit an arcade where Buzz picks a fight with other kids. Pacey learns that Buzz acts out because his father left for another woman.
Pacey picks up Joey from the train station and on the way home she tells him about Morgan and AJ. She admits that Dawson and Pacey are the only two people that really know her. They stop by the side of the road and share a kiss.

[edit] Trivia
- While dropping her off at the train station, Pacey likens Joey’s trip to Boston to a fairy tale with a “college Prince Charming,” saying that the “clock always strikes midnight” and then “it’s Pumpkin City.” All are references to the story of Cinderella.
- When Jen shows up at the restaurant, Dawson jokes that he remembers her from a rally and asks if she was on a Hacky Sack circuit. She says that she had been spending time with Henry. During the series run, Michelle Williams took breaks to film a number of movies.
- On the way home, Joey and Pacey stop by the side of the road at the same curve where Mitch Leery dies in episode number 5.03, Capeside Revisited.
