Cigarro & Cerveja is a comic strip created by Tony Esteves featuring Cigarro, a chain-smoking Snowshoe Hare, and Cerveja, a beer-drinking Canadian Goose. The comic also features Dr. Inteligência, a genius monkey, and Galão, a coffee-drinking tortoise infatuated with Cigarro. The comic was first printed on September 17, 1998.
The characters' names are Portuguese words related to the characters' habits. Cigarro's means cigarette, Cerveja's beer, Inteligência inteligence and Galão's latte.
Cigarro & Cerveja was first published in the Gateway newspaper at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, and continues to be published weekly on its web site.
