Churchlands, Western Australia

Churchlands is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia located within the Local Government Area of the City of Stirling. Churchlands is an expensive suburb with most homes built after the 1980s. Most homes are very large and opulent with expensive locales such as Bishop Riley Way and Mantua Crescent. Its post code is 6018.

This suburb became known as "Churchlands" after being purchased by the Roman Catholic Church in 1891. Edith Cowan University has a campus located in Churchlands.

Churchlands is on the outskirts of the prestigious "western suburbs" and borders with Wembley Downs, Floreat, Woodlands, Herdsman and Wembley. Schools in the area include Churchlands Primary, Woodlands Primary, Churchlands Senior High School, Hale School and Newman College.

One of the main attractions of Churchlands is the large Herdsman Lake on the eastern border of the suburb. The lake is highly populated by many bird, amphibian and freshwater fish species. The lake is also a popular family destination and walking region.
