Churches Together in Britain and Ireland

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI) is an ecumenical organisation. The members include most of the major churches in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. It was formerly known as the Council of Churches of Britain and Ireland.

It was formed on September 1, 1990 as the successor to the British Council of Churches. [1] The new body, unlike its predecessor, included the Catholic Church as full members, and extended its geographic coverage to the island of Ireland.
