The main minister is Revd Colin Matthews
The 1960's building is an unusual structure, with a cross-shaped floorplan, where laminated wooden beams at each corner define both walls and roof.
The church of St Luke's dates from 1858 and is Grade II listed.
[edit] Services
The church has always enjoyed a mix of services. Sundays include three morning services - one at 8am which is a quiet communion without music, a tradional communion at 9:15am including a more traditional mix of songs and psalms while the 10:45 am service provides a separate Sunday School where children aged 3 - 11 years old can learn to love and experience God.
Each month, a family service is held on the 3rd Sunday at 10:45am. The children stay in for the whole service and the theme is more child friendly.
[edit] Sunday School
The Sunday School is in the hall which is attached to the church. The children are split into 3 groups according to age group and each group follows a linked but differing depthed session each week which strives to help all children grow in the Christian faith in ways which are appropriate for their age and development. Children use a nationally based course of teaching materials. Children rejoin the main congrgation at the end of their special time together.
All leaders have experience and are CRB checked.
