The Church of God International is a splinter group of the Worldwide Church of God.
The group was created in 1978 by Garner Ted Armstrong (1930-2003),[1] the son of the founder of the Worldwide Church of God, Herbert W. Armstrong. After some sexual impropriety,[2] Garner Ted Armstrong was removed in 1998.[3] The group produces a television program called Armor of God.
