"Church Heathen" is a 2007 song recoded by Jamaican, reggae artist Shaggy. It serves a testimonial of some of the scandals and "heathens" he found in a church. In the intro of the song He states, " If yu tek di too serious, then you really need sum chuch, which is indeed Caribbean dialect for, "If you take this oo seriously, then you really need some church." In this song he mentions characters such as Sis. Pam, who tells him everything about the congregation, Sis. Gwen, who stats she is a Christian but is doing dirty dances to inappropriate songs in the opinion of Christians, Sis. Paulette, who is sleeping with the driver of the church bus and also has a husband of the homosexual orientation. He also states that the next Sunday he will 'find himself' in church because in his opinion, soap operas cannot be as 'sweet' as the information he is receiving in the church. The song has not yet been release on the Billboard Hot 100, but as it is already a big hit in the Caribbean, it's release is highly anticipated by Shaggy's fans.
