Chubb Corporation (NYSE: CB), based out of Warren, NJ, is an American insurance company with approximately 11,800 employees (as of December of 2004). They are the 10th largest property and casualty insurer in the United States. They have over 120 offices in 29 countries. Chubb reported assets of USD$48.1 billion, and a revenue of $14.1 billion. According to Fortune, the corporation is the 156th largest corporation in the United States. The corporation offers the following insurance services: commercial, specialty, surety, and personal.

It is publicy traded on the NYSE under the ticker symbol CB. [1]

Between 1970 and 2004, the company operated The Chubb Institute, a chain of for-profit technical schools, as a subsidiary. Originally created for employee training purposes, the Chubb Institute's only current course offerings relating to insurance is through its medical billing program. The schools were sold to the High-Tech Institute in 2004.
