Talk:CHSR-FM

I've been gone more than a year now, but unless things have changed, CHSR is funded by UNB and STU both. The station itself attempts to avoid being labelled as 'UNB's radio station' in order not to alienate STU students (and their funding). Has this changed? If not I suggest this be edited to reflect CHSR's intentions to be a station for the entire community, including STU. As I'm no longer active at CHSR I won't do the edit myself, in case I'm off. Also, I acknowledge that I don't know if CHSR is "owned" by anyone, but I can't imagine that STU would fund CHSR with it being "owned" and a part of UNB. - BalthCat, 2005-09-22
ACK! I *am* editing SOMETHING. CHSR is 97.9 FM. 95.7 is CKTP - the native run station!! - BalthCat, 2005-09-22
I'm a current and long-time CHSR member. CHSR is not owned by UNB, STU or their affiliated student associations. It is, in fact, mandatory that the broadcast licence be held by an independent company. The funding from UNB undergraduate students was finally stabilized by agreement between the Student Union and CHSR Board of Directors, and can only be changed by a referendum initiated by petition. --DoctorMud 04:14, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
-Thanks for beefing this up DoctorMud. As for past Notable Shows, you might consider including According with Carmen and the Crazy Train. - BalthCat, 2005-12-26
-Maybe include the Macfarlane Brothers' "Green-Died Fingernails" as well? This was the mainstay punk show while I went to UNB
