I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Again, welcome!  Bubba hotep 22:00, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Please refer to item 5. Your item on the school is likely to be deleted as encyclopedic entries should first of all assert some kind of notability and secondly contain more than an address. Besides that, thank you for your contributions. Bubba hotep 22:03, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

For future reference, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag on articles you have created yourself. I'm sure it was not your intention to do so, but please wait until someone else does so. I was going to take it off anyway, but please leave the other tags on there which are there to give you an idea of what is needed to make the article acceptable. Thanks and good luck. Someone else has tagged this for speedy deletion. If you wish to contest it, please follow the instructions on the tag. Don't remove it yourself. Bubba hotep 22:23, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Confusion

Don't worry about it. It can be very confusing at times. My advice to a new person (I used to be one once): read everything three times, very slowly, before doing anything! I can't guarantee your articles won't get deleted, unfortunately (I'm not the one who does), but good luck. Bubba hotep 22:33, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Knights Templar School

Have a look now. I've formatted it to a standard which nears Wikipedia's recognised style (sort of). Points to note are:

  • Don't include phrases like "the school boasts" - this is seen as lacking neutrality in tone, see WP:NPOV
  • I've added wikilinks - the words that are clickable and lead to other places on Wikipedia - try to add these in whatever articles you do. BUT - don't add too many and (although this is not a rule, it is my personal preference) don't add any which link nowhere (red links) - unless you intend to make those articles as well
  • This article desparately needs sources now. Everything on Wikipedia must be sourced and verifiable - you obviously have knowledge of the school, but everyone else might think you made it up! Add links to the OFSTED report, for example. Press coverage, anything like that. Anything that proves it is both notable and, indeed, existant (is that a word?) It especially needs some third party corroboration about the Knights Templar being buried there (or at least a reputable mention about who said they were!) - this is why I added [CITATION NEEDED] to it
  • Add a link to the school's website

I can't tell you exactly what to do because you will find great joy in trying and doing it yourself - which, I suppose, is the reason you came here in the first place! I can give you my tu'penneth worth, though. I suppose it was the Hertfordshire affinity what made me do it, guv. (I'm from Herts too - although I must be honest, I didn't know this school existed until now)

Finally, good luck - again! Any problems, you know where I am. Bubba hotep 22:56, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

STOP PRESS - I found some links and integrated them into the article. Sorry, it was intriguing me. I will leave the one that really caught my attention (about the Knights Templar being buried around there) to you. Let me know if you find anything on the web and I'll add it for you. [edit] License tagging for Image:Crimea medal.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Crimea medal.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:07, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
