I removed the PROD tag from User:Cs92 because the proposed deletion procedure only applies to the main namespace, not to the User namespace. --Metropolitan90 04:38, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please subst warning templates
When using certain template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template.
You forgot at User talk:75.57.124.138. Will (Talk - contribs) 08:47, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Stubs
Thank you for adding {{stub}} to articles. However it is better to choose a specific stub to categorise them. Specific stubs can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub types. Please use these stubs where possibe instead of {{stub}}. Thank you. Ksbrowntalk 09:52, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] National Geographic Channel Incorrect
I attempted to clear up a lot of the mistakes you have on the National Geographic Channel page -but you removed them. The site is way off - its mixing US and International (which have separate ownership structures).
US Tagline is Dare to Explore (think Again only used overseas) US structures is 70% Fox Cable Networks, 30% National Geographic Ventures
that's only the beginning. I would suggest allowing changes to the site rather than trying to own something that is wrong.

Hey, I am looking into a better source but its maybe not the best idea to take that tone to long term editors who have been here a tad longer than yourself. Although I know that source is maybe not the best one to take the original Source (media week) is inaccessible to persons not a paid subscriber. - Mike Beckham 05:28, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 71.112.7.212 Issues
No problem on the revert. 71.112.7.212 is a troll and a loon. If he spent half the time he spends trying to "cover his ass" and channeled it into positive contributions, I think everyone would be happy and agree he's learned his lesson. But he's simply an idiot. Sorry if that flies in the face of WP:CIV, but I'll gladly take the heat for saying that because this user's non-blocked existance baffles me and makes the life of many editors on Wiki harder for no valid reason. Good luck in your Wiki contributions and thanks for the appreciation. --BaseballDetective 05:37, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Music Factory
If you actually have either Foxtel Digital or Optus TV Featuring Foxtel Digital, then go to channel 812 and you'll see that "The Music Factory" is currently running in preview mode ahead of it's official launch on Tuesday April 10, 2007. And that's also how I found out about it, all by doing a channel surf.
- Foxtel (Satellite at least) is not currently running any preview for TMF, or intending to launch TMF. It is an exclusive arrangement with Optus Digital subscribers. MTV used to be and still may be an exclusive Optus channel which is why I believe Foxtel hasn't started it yet. Foxtel might not have the rights yet or something along those lines I'd say. If anyone has any more info on this situation please post it!
Smacca 10:10, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- They're not running it on Foxtel cable either :)

[edit] Recent Aida (musical) mods
I'd like to understand why you recently removed the Other Productions section. I agree with your basic comment Wiki is "not a place for advertising" and the info was added not as advertising but as a historical record that there are other productions of the play. If we wish to be consistent, then the entire listing of locations and dates for the Aida tour (and other Wikis ... see Josh Groban, for example) should be removed. I don't understand why it's okay to keep one and get rid of the other. Perhaps the "at 7pm" made the other productions sound like advertising ... if so, that could have been removed and the historical record kept.
By the way, some of the "Other Productions" info was already there when I did my edits. I added a separate section to differentiate it from the touring company, and compressed the listed performances into a single line for each location, consistent with those listed for the touring company. It was my expectation that others could add items to this list in the future and expand/preserve the historical record. Perhaps you'd like to reconsider your edits? Thanks. [edit] sorry chrisch-- you're wrong
calling people trolls is a personal attack. i think so, and if the attack is aimed towards me, that's what counts.
please do not contact me again, you are a biased admin looking for an excuse to harrass me. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.112.7.212 (talk) 04:57, 31 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Thanks for reverting on Bo Taylor
I've been trying to deal with this user's vandalism for the past two days and it just keeps getting worse. I finally reported him on the Administrator Intervention Against Vandalism page. I hope that helps, although he also seems to be doing a lot of vandalism via anonymous IP addresses. --Proofreader J-Man 01:09, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Re: Thanks for reverting on Bo Taylor
No problem :) If it has not already been reported, what's the IP address he's using? Chrisch 01:11, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, there are several:
- 71.247.182.92
- 71.195.67.241
- 71.247.196.225
- 71.247.183.94
- 71.247.153.60
- 71.247.174.53
- 71.247.165.54
- That takes us as far back as 3/20/07. There are more before that (check out the history page of Bo Taylor). I don't know enough about how IP addresses work to understand how you would report one of them. I noticed that almost all begin with 71.247 if that means something. --Proofreader J-Man 01:19, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks for all your help! It looks like someone finally deleted Bo Taylor, but I'll bet you anything he tries to recreate it (as he did with WHAA-TV). They didn't delete his other "figment of his imagination" articles, but the subst-prod tags are still on (for the time being.) So far no evidence that they plan to block him, and my comment on the Adminstrator Intervention page is no longer there. --Proofreader J-Man 01:54, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Changes to Foxtel article
Hi Chrisch,
Thanks for the info. I made the changes to the Movie channel names because they are typed without using CAPS in every other situation (EPG, channel websites, channel articles, reviews etc). If you're determined to use the Foxtel channel list as the one and only source for channel naming, then maybe you need to change Arena, World Movies, Foxtel Box Office, Fox Sports, The Comedy Channel etc all to CAPS aswell. All things aside though, it's stupid that some are in caps and some aren't. I think Foxtel used this method for their analogue services, but now only a hand full of channels are in CAPS officially, like ARENA, FUEL TV, MAX and anything abbreviated. And I say officially by looking at my Foxtel box EPG which in my opinion would be more updated than Foxtel's aging website. I reckon we should change them. Love to hear your thoughts. :)
