I made a slight alteration to Christian's place of birth. In the original, the article referenced his place of birth as Gröningen in the Netherlands; I changed it to Gröningen in Saxony-Anhalt. There are indeed two towns with similar names - one (Groningen - no Umlaut) in the Netherlands and one (Gröningen - with Umlaut) in Saxony-Anhalt. Since his father's estates were in Saxony-Anhalt, I think it is most reasonable to conclude that he was born there. However, if the author, or anyone else, wishes to contradict my assumption, then I am amenable to replacing my edit with the original version. Glengese 18:47, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

It seems to me he is the #417 - 31 Dec 1624 - Christian,Duke of Brunswick Wolfenbuttel - d. 6 Jun 1626 you can find here : List of Knights and Ladies of the Garter, and here. Since there never existed a Duke of Brunswick called Christian in the 16th. Can anyone clear that point ? Regards, PurpleHz 01:53, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
