Talk:Chris Bowers
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
While perhaps not formatted well, this is not patent nonense. Chris Bowers is a blogger at MyDD who does analyze elections and polling data. At the least, this should be VfDed, not speedied. -Satori 18:19, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Resurrected article
This got no consensus on AfD, but was blanked and redirected without any merging. Bowers is a notable blogger for one of the most important progressive blogs, as well as an elected Democratic committeeperson in Pennsylvania. Anyone with any familiarity with liberal blogs knows MyDD, and Bowers is a distinct and important member of that site with a reputation outside of it as well. I expanded the article a little, and will expand it more soon. Bill Oaf 12:34, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- I agree, Bowers is a significant force of the left-blogosphere - witness the media attention to his "Use it or Lose it" and Google-bomb campaigns of the 2006 election. He'll never be a household name and I doubt he'll ever be a regular talking head on the 24 hr news channels, but he has significant impact worth encyclopedic mention.--FNV 15:57, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Started putting this into sections
So the line about the Edwards/Blogger flap was a bit too POV. I just replaced it with a direct quote from Bowers. Let the reader decide if he was threatening Edwards, or if the "Vicious Rant" and action campaign might have been directed elsewhere.
Added some stuff about several of his past campaigns that garnered some media attention. Since the article was nominated for deletion,I thought better to put more stuff in it so no one mistakes Bowers for being unencyclopedia worthy out of ignorance.
However, more links to other sources that MyDD would be needed of course.--FNV 16:24, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
