Christopher John Ferguson Ward (born 26 December 1942) is a British Conservative Party politician, who was a Member of Parliament (MP) for only seven months.
When Labour MP Francis Noel-Baker resignned from the House of Commons in 1969, Ward was selected as the Conservative candidate in the resulting Swindon by-election, 1969. He won with a majority of 478[1], overturning Noel-Baker's majority of over 10,000 at the 1966 general election.[2]
However, he lost his seat the following year, at the general election in June 1970, when David Stoddart retook the seat for Labour with a majority of 5,576.[3].
