Christopher Walker

Christopher Walker [1] is a British musical conductor. He was conductor of the Reading Youth Orchestra from 2000 until 2006.
He was born in Manchester and was a music student at the University of Hull. Walker was later a music teacher at several secondary schools around Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire before becoming Director of Music at Henley College in 1978. He remained in this position until his retirement from teaching in 2002, though he continues his employment in education as a visiting examiner for the OCR Examinations Board with A-Level Music students.
Walker's main instrument is the violin.
