[edit] Biography

Christopher Uckermann was born in Mexico City to a Mexican father and a Swedish mother. He started his acting career when he was just 3 years old in TV commercials. In 1999 he was cast for a role in El diario de Daniela a successful children's telenovela. He then starred in Amigos X Siempre in 2000. In 2001 he acted and wrote the theme song for the telenovela Aventuras en el tiempo (2001).

His most important role came in 2004 when he obtained a role in the telenovela Rebelde playing Diego Bustamante, a student in the ficticious "Elite Way School", a presticious prep school located in Mexico City, with dreams of becoming a musician. The success of this production was such that it is still in production and the vocal group RBD spinned-off from the television series. He has recorded many albums with RBD selling millions of records and toured with the group across Mexico, various South American countries (including Portuguese speaking Brazil), the United States, and Spain. Although the band started off completely in Spanish, their success has prompted them to record albums in Portuguese and English.

Christopher dated his co-star Anahi but ended the relationship. He has currently been linked to former girlfriend Belinda with whom he acted alongside in Amigos X Siempre and is also a singer. Recently he was captured by paparazzi walking hand in hand at two in the morning with Belinda then spending an hour in a gaurded van increasing speculation that the duo are back together. There has been strong rummors that he has also started dating fellow groupmate Dulce Maria.

In 2005 he started his own company (with four of his best friends) of distribution of the Romanian-made cylindrical pendants, called "Ferbuss Fashion", which he and his friends wear in Rebelde.

Besides acting and singing, "Ucker" as his friends call him, is proficient in Extreme Skatebording winning various national competitions and is also a note drum player. There have been rumors of a new line of clothing to debut this year by Christopher, but there currently have not been any updates.

He is now touring with RBD and filming the sitcom RBD: La Familia which debuted on March 14, 2007 on the SKY cable network in Mexico.
