Christopher Scott Cherot (sometimes credited as Christopher Cherot or Chris Cherot), born November, 1967, in The Bronx, New York, is a film director best known for Hav Plenty (1997), a true story that he wrote, edited, produced, acted in and directed.

Mr. Cherot also directed and acted in Box Marley (2000), which reunited him with Reginald James, Hill Harper, and Shemar Moore, who all appeared in Hav Plenty. He also directed G (2002), loosely based on The Great Gatsby, as well as The Male Groupie (2004), Andre Royo's Big Scene (2004), and the BET reality series College Hill, an urban version of MTV's The Real World.
