Christopher Melchert

Christopher Melchert is a non-Muslim Islamic scholar. He is also a Lecturer in of Oriental Studies in Oxford University [1]. He currently is a fellow at the Oxford University Oriental Institute and Pembroke College. He also has a reputation for wearing priestly outfits, which is made even more bizarre when combined with his saintly beard sans moustache. Dr. Melchert is one of the most prominent Western Hadith scholars. He got his PhD at the University of Pennsylvania.
