Christmas season
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Things commonly known as the Christmas season include:
- Christmastide — the part of the Christian liturgical year that runs from Christmas Day to the start of Epiphany[1] (Bratcher[2] describes this as "the actual Christmas season".)
- Advent — the part of the Christian liturgical year that leads up to Christmas Day (The Christmas season according to advertising campaigns.[2])
- the winter holiday season — a period of holidays during late autumn and early winter (ranging from late November to January) that incorporates a holiday shopping season (Bratcher[2] refers to this as the Christmas season "in its popular sense".)
