Christine Laitta is an actress from Pittsburgh, PA, born in 1962 in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Christine has played many roles the Theater Art Field and currently stars in the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera's production of Forbidden Broadway.[1]

Christine got her start at acting in 1979 a the age of seventeen at a local musical theatre camp. There she starred in many productions , such as the Ugly Duckling in which she portrayed the Ugly Duckling the Wizard of Oz as the Wicked Witch of the west.[citation needed] Laitta is also the co-author of the book The Dramatically Different Classroom [2] about incorporating Drama and Music into classroom activities.


She currently teaches at Rogers CAPA Middle School located in Pittsburgh.
