"Tina" as her fans like to call her[3], studied at the French institute[4]. She then pursued Business management studies in France. in addition to Thai, Aguilar speaks French, English and some Spanish. Aguilar first became known for her singing abilities while in France. During the college's annual party, Aguilar was asked by her friends to perform on stage. She chose to sing "Sweet Memory."
Her father was one of her most important influence in music, and she and her family would often sing together.
Aguilar loves dogs and used to dream of becoming a veterinarian. She is also service minded. Tina had strong ambitions. In college, she wanted to be a successful businesswoman. But most of all she always wanted to sing. As soon as she finished school, she was recruited by a French advertising agency. She worked as an assistance account executive. She gained much experience in communicating with people. She then came back to Thailand and worked briefly with a travel agency. The turning point in her career was when she met 'Rewat Bhuddhinan',then Chief producer for Grammy entertainment. She is now…one of the most successful pop performer in Thai music history…Christina Aguilar.
[edit] 1990-1994: Early Success and Career Development
After the debut of Ninja in 1990, her first album, she broke the history of Thai music. It has sold over one and a half million copies, made her the first female artist who had million copies album.
Arwut Lab (Secret Weapons) was released in 1992. "Jing Mai Klua", the debut single of the album, made her well known overseas. It won MTV Asian Viewers Choice Award in Los Angeles, USA. It was the second music video of thai artists to win this award, following Thongchai McIntyre. The album also made her well known in Japan. Similar to the first album, Arwut Lab (Secret Weapons) was also hit and has sold close to million copies.
[edit] 1994-1999: Became the Top
In 1994, she released her third album "Red Beat". With hot beat, modern and sexy appearance, it became her most successful album containing her most two successful singles, one was dance single "Mai Yag Rok (It's not hard)" and another was love ballad single "Rak Thur Thee Sood (Love You the Most)". This album has sold over three million copies, that made the album one of the biggest-selling albums of thai music history. This was the second time that Christina's album has sold more than one million copies, that proved her talent in music. Thais also know her as one of the very successful Thai music artists of all time due to this album.
A year later, she was one of five guests of Thai most successful artist, Thongchai McIntyre, in the album Khon Nok Gub Dok Mai (Feather and Flower). In the same year, with five popular thai artists at that time, she released the album 6-2-12. Nevertheless, both of her two albums reached million copies, too.
Golden Eye was released three years later. She came back with developed image, grew up and stronger appearance. Golden Eye also represented her mother's country; the song "Bai Mai (Leaf)" had Thai-French lyrics. The album was still popular althouh it was less successful than her three previous albums. However, the record was broken again, this album reached million copies unsurprisingly. Christina is the first artist of Thailand who had three solo albums reaching million copies
[edit] 1999-Present: Beat Slowed Down
In 1999, she came back with a new image, younger and more colourful. Her 5th album, 5th Avenue, had many beautiful songs. However, because of the album's image, 5th Avenue became one of her most unsuccessful albums. The album has sold only half-million copies.
In the same year, Christina released her first English album. The album features Sarah Jane Fearnley (also known as Fearn), English singer who sang backup for Spice Girls and soundtracks of the movie "Evita". This album had songs that re-arranged her popular songs in English. But it was not very successful overseas like her second album.
Her sixth album "Dancing Queen" was released in 2001. Its success was moderate. The album presented her sexiness and highness. The album was disturbed by pirate albums [5]that made the album be the smallest-selling album that has sold only 0.3 million coppies approximately. Following with the seventh album "Paradise", Christina released a new album in 2003. The album was still not so popular, that was the result of missed promotion, according to her fans[6]. It promoted only three singles and had very short time of promotion. However, the album has sold approximately 0.4 million copies anyway.
[edit] Future career
In 2006, Christina released her new single "Koh Khoom Laew (It's Worth)" in August. And the new album "Coming Soon" was planed to released in late 2006 but the plan has been changed because of high competition in music market in late 2006. The album will be released in early 2007 instead.

[edit] Public Image
Christina's private life was not usually presented to the public. She hardly appeared on television as an actress and never appeared in the film. But she sometimes appeared on the cover of Thai magazines. For sixteen years on the entertainment street, there were only twenty-four times she has been found on the magazine covers. The first was in 1990 on "Di Chan" magazine and the latest was in 2006 on "Volume" magazine.
