[edit] Pageants
Woods won the Miss Houston Teen USA title in 1995 and later the same year competed for and won the Miss Texas Teen USA 1996 title. She represented Texas in the nationally televised Miss Teen USA 1996 pageant broadcast live from Las Cruces, New Mexico in August 1996, and became the first Texan to win the Miss Teen USA title.
As Miss Teen USA, Woods lived with the Miss Universe and Miss USA titleholders, including Alicia Machado, Miss Universe 1996, of Venezuela, and Ali Landry, Miss USA 1996, of Louisiana. She also reigned alongside Brook Mahealani Lee, who briefly held the Miss USA 1997 title before winning the Miss Universe pageant. Woods travelled extensively throughout the United States and made appearances for charity during her reign.
Woods gave up her title in August 1997, when she crowned Shelly Moore of Tennessee as Miss Teen USA 1997.
In 2001, Woods returned to pageantry and competed in the Miss Texas USA 2002 pageant as Miss Central Texas. She was one of six former Miss Texas Teen USA titleholders to participate in the event. Woods won the swimsuit, interview and Miss Photogenic awards, and placed third runner-up. This was the first time that a former Miss Teen USA titleholder did not win the first Miss USA state pageant she competed in. Woods' successor to the Miss Texas Teen USA title in 1997, Andria Mullins, placed as second runner-up.
The following year, Woods won the Miss Houston USA title and competed at Miss Texas USA 2003. She placed in the semi-finals this year, alongside fellow former Miss Texas Teen USA titleholder Andria Mullins; Woods' predecessor to the Miss Texas Teen USA crown, Mandy Jeffreys, matched Woods' 2002 placement at third runner-up. Woods competed in the pageant for the third time at the Miss Texas USA 2004 event, and again placed in the semi-finals. This was her last attempt at the title, because of the age restrictions imposed on contestants. Woods thus became the first former Miss Teen USA titleholder who attempted to win a Miss USA state crown, but did not succeed.

[edit] Acting
Woods played Rowena in the TV series The New Adventures of Robin Hood in the late 1990s. She also had guest appearances on Malibu, CA (1988) and USA High (1988).
[edit] Amazing Race 5
Woods appeared with her boyfriend Colin Gunn on The Amazing Race 5, competing alongside two other beauty pageant contestants: Nicole O'Brian, who held the Miss Texas USA 2000 and Miss Texas USA 2003 titles and Erica Shay, who was Miss Pennsylvania Teen USA 1995.
Woods and her partner finished the race second out of a group of eleven. A tire blowout experienced in Dallas, Texas by Colin and Christie's limousine contributed to their loss.
Following the show, Woods and Gunn were married. Woods is now expecting their first child. Woods and Gunn were also expecting to be in Allstars edition, but Woods is pregnant.
