Christie Hennessy

Christie Hennessy (born 1945?) is an Irish folk singer-songwriter. He left school at the age of eleven and a half information from an interview on RTE Radio 1, Playback, 30 March 2007. His first job was as a messenger boy, and it was then that he discovered that it was important to be able to read. He later worked at building sites in London. He still cannot read or write, but enjoys his library of books. He has worked with the Irish charity, Children In Crossfire, donating part of the proceeds of his record sales.
