Christian von Koenigsegg

Christian von Koenigsegg (born 1973) is the founder of the Swedish high-performance automobile manufacturer Koenigsegg Automotive AB.
Koenigsegg grew up with the dream of creating the perfect sports car. After several years of planning he launched the Koenigsegg project in 1993. Designer David Craaford provided a design concept following Christian’s guidelines. A tight-knit group was gathered and a prototype was assembled, the success of which enabled the foundation of Koenigsegg Automotive AB Koenigsegg receives major backing from Volvo, which kindly provided access to a wind tunnel as well as providing financial aid. Volvo's parent company, the Ford Motor Company, supplied the original Koenigsegg with a V8 engine; however, Koenigsegg has recently begun developing its own in-house engines (see Koenigsegg CCX).
Christian von Koenigsegg founded his supercar company aged only twenty-two. Shortly afterward, he lost all his body hair (alopecia universalis) and now has two eyebrows tattooed on his face.
