Christian Tshimanga Kabeya (born June 16, 1987 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo) is a Belgian midfielder.

Kabeya began his playing career with K.S.K. Ronse before he quickly moved to join top flight club Belgian club Excelsior Mouscron. Interest was soon hotting up for the talented youngster, and by the time he turned 15 years of age, the likes of Juventus and FC Barcelona were attempting to sign him to a contract. However they were soon rubbished by the Belgian side.

Aston Villa soon joined the array of interesting parties, and tried to capture Kabeya on a schlolarship deal. This initially failed, but merely a few months later, out of contract Kabeya opted to sign for Villa. He eventually signed the contract in July 2003.

After an excellent opening season for the academy, Kabeya helped Aston Villa to the final of the 2003/04 FA Youth Cup, despite losing to a much more experienced Middlesborough team.

On the international front, Kabeya (despite being born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo) has represented Belgium at U16, U17, U18 and U19 level.

However, controversy struck on December 1st 2006, when Kabeya was jailed for 4 months, for stealing £5000 from an unnamed team-mate, unsuprisingly Kabeya was sacked from his role at Aston Villa, for gross misconduct after stealing from the fellow Reserve player, of whom he shared a house with.
