Christian Kalvenes (born March 8, 1977 in Bergen) is a Norwegian footballer, currently playing left-back for Scottish Premier League club Dundee United.

He started his senior career in SK Brann, but played only one match. His breakthrough in the Norwegian Premier League came with Sogndal, and in 2003 he returned to Brann. On 2 August 2006, Kalvenes joined Dundee United for a fee of around £50,000. In his competitive debut for Dundee United on August 5 2006, Kalvenes scored the second goal in a 2-2 draw against Rangers at Ibrox. Kalvenes received his first red card in December 2006 in the 2-1 win at Motherwell following two yellow cards.
