Christian Eigner

Christian Eigner (born 3rd March 1971 in Vienna, Austria) is a session musician, having worked on over 300 albums. Most contributions have been to Austrian musicians like Peter Cornelius, Georg Danzer, Al Slavik or Dr. Kurt Ostbahn.
He has been Depeche Mode's tour drummer since 1997, and has also occasionally collaborated, having co-written three songs on their 2005 album Playing the Angel.
He has also released a solo album titled Recovery in October 2005.[1]
For the Austrian movie Die Viertelliterklasse released in March 2005, he wrote the film score.[2]
Since 1997, he has also performed live with fellow Austrian Musicians, Al Slavik and Karl Ritter under the name of Sel Gapu Mex. They have released an album and most recently toured in December 2006 in Austria, Hungary and Slovenia, this time with Andrew Philpott, Eigner's collaborator on the three tracks penned with Dave Gahan for Playing the Angel.
