Christ Church Cathedral is the Anglican cathedral in Ottawa, Canada. The church is located at the northwest of downtown at the end of Sparks Street at the top of a promontory looking down to the Ottawa River. The church was founded in 1832 and moved to its current location in 1841 on land donated by Nicholas Sparks. The current building was built in 1872. In 1896 the church was raised to a cathedral. At present Shane Parker serves as Dean and Rector of the Cathedral.
