Christopher ("Chris") Lee Thompson (born November 30, 1978 in San Diego, California), (raised in Roseburg, Oregon) is an American swimmer, who won the bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in the 1500 m Freestyle. He was the second American swimmer to go below the 15 minute mark on the 1500m and held the American Record for 4 years. Coached by Jerry Olszewski of King Aquatic Club in Federal Way WA. Jerry is now the Head Coach of Scottsdale Aquatic Club in Scottsdale Arizona and has been since 2002.
