Chris Taylor (born 20 December 1986 in Oldham) is an English professional footballer currently playing for Oldham Athletic.

Taylor, a winger in January 2007 was linked with a switch to Championship side, Leeds United in a swap deal with former Oldham loanee, Sean Gregan. However since Gregan has released by Leeds, the deal did not go through.

On March 3rd 2007 Chris scored his first professional goal in a 1-1 draw with Carlisle United. After waiting 51 games for his first goal, Chris then scored twice in a 4-0 demolition of Doncaster Rovers in his next game. Chris then made it 4 goals from 3 games with a goal against Leyton Orient in his next game. At the game fans were buying "I was there" T-Shirts which made reference to Chris' first goal against Carlisle. This shows how highly he is though of by Latics fans.
