Chris McCormack (guitarist)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chris McCormack is a U.K guitarist born in South Shields in 1974, he is the younger brother of Danny McCormack from The Wildhearts.

The ex- 'Gunslinger' guitarists first success was as a member of Newcastle-upon-Tyne metal outfit 'Forgodsake' who released an album on 'Bleeding heart records' before McCormack eventually left. He moved to London where he was briefly in an early incarnation of Honeycrack before eventually forming 3 Colours Red with ex- Diamond Head bassist Pete Vuckovic, they went on to write and record 2 U.K top 40 albums (Pure & Revolt) and 6 U.K top 40 singles together before splitting at their peak in 1999 due to widely reported personal differences between the two. He soon joined electro rockers 'Grand Theft Audio' with Rich Battersby from The Wildhearts, they released an album and he spent several months touring the U.S before eventually being dropped by the record label. 3 Colours Red reformed in 2002 and released a 3rd album (The Union of Souls) but split again in 2005. McCormack lives in London and plays guitar with 80s electro pioneer Gary Numan.
