Chris Houchens is a Kentucky keynote speaker, writer, and blogger who deals with the subject of marketing.

In 2006, Houchens co-authored the book A Marketer's Guide to HIPAA: Resources for Creating Effective and Compliant Marketing (ISBN: 1578398754) with HIPAA expert Kate Borten.
One of Houchens' main treatises on marketing was published in via a manifesto through the Seth Godin website, Change This. The focus of this manifesto was that individual companies were in charge of their marketing strategy and should not rely on the marketing "book-of-the-month". In addition, marketers should "narrowcast" to audiences rather than broadcasting to many uninterested people who are not in the intended target market.
In Houchens' keynote addresses, he focuses on the idea that today's technological advances make it possible to have conversations with potential customers rather than shoving information down their throats. He also speaks on other subjects such as healthcare marketing, small business marketing, and sales.
