Chris Eakin

Chris Eakin is a newsreader on the BBC's 24 hour rolling news channel, BBC News 24. He came to BBC News 24 from BBC Look North where he had twice won regional journalist of the year. Chris has also made appearances on the BBC show "Auntie's Bloomers". He is a keen sailor and skier and a lifelong fan of Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Chris can now be seen on BBC News 24 presenting the from 10:30pm on Monday-Thursday evenings, as well as at other times. He has anchored outside news broadcasts from a range of locations including Buckingham Palace, Tavistock Square in London and Boscastle, Cornwall.
