Chris Cole

Chris Cole is a United States Libertarian Party activist and was the party's candidate for Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina in the 2004 general elections, earning 2% of the popular statewide vote.

In 1996, Cole became the first openly gay candidate for the North Carolina General Assembly when he ran unsuccessfully as a Libertarian candidate against Speaker Jim Black. A resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, Cole has also run unsuccessfully for the Charlotte city council.
