Chris Clark is a sports reporter for Catch 47. Tampa Bays only 24 hour sports station. He can be seen covering everything from MLB spring training to high school swimming. He started in February of 2007 after leaving WTOC TV, the CBS station in Savannah, GA.

In his 3 plus years in Georgia, Chris redefined the meaning of sports coverage taking the dept. to a level never seen. Most of the projects he had his hands in were must see. From local high school football players to pro golf, he found a way to make it fun and memorable. Just before leaving he started a push to cover Georgia Southern football like never before with daily reports and updates on players and coaches.

No stranger to the internet he upgraded the stations look there as well. Chris would regularly put stories, interviews and extra highlights on-line that would never make it on TV.

He was rewarded with numerous AP awards and in 2005 won the sports departments first Emmy and first ever Edward R. Murrow award.

Before coming to WTOC he was the sports director for WBOY, NBC 12 in Clarksburg, WV. In his 3 year tenure in the mountain state Chris updated the look of the friday night football show and guided the dept. to the top of the ratings winning a total of 8 AP awards. In 2002 and 2003 the WBOY sports team swept the AP's winning everything in the sports category.

Before coming to WV he was the sports director at the now defunct Cable News 21 in Montgomery County Maryland.

Chris grew up in Fort Washington, Maryland and graduated from Friendly High School. He then attended Wingate College, later Wingate University but left after 2 years and would eventually graduate from Bowie State University in 1998 with a BS.
