Christopher Lee Canty (born November 10, 1982 in The Bronx, New York) is an American football defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. He was selected with the 31st pick of the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft out of the University of Virginia. Canty attended Charlotte Latin School in Charlotte, North Carolina where he led is team to the NCISAA State Championship in 1999 on his way to All-Conference and All-State honors. He also was a starter in basketball.
