Chris Ault (born November 8, 1946 in San Bernardino, California), is the current college football head coach of the University of Nevada, Reno Wolf Pack. Ault, along with Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden, is one of three active coaches who have also been inducted in to the College Football Hall of Fame.

Ault's career coaching record is 177-73-1, which is currently the fourth-highest winning percentage (.705) among active Division I-A coaches and the winningest coach in Wolf Pack history. He has a reputation for making effective halftime adjustments, as he has engineered 25 second-half comeback victories.

Ault also served as the athletic director for the Wolf Pack. He is in his third stint as head coach. The first was 1976-92 and the second was 1994-95. He returned to the sidelines in 2004 after the release of previous head coach Chris Tormey.
