Chris Ahrens (born July 31, 1952 in San Bernadino, California) is a retired American professional ice hockey defenceman who played 6 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Minnesota North Stars. He is one of the few native Californians to play in the NHL.[citation needed]

Ahrens was drafted in the 5th round, 76th overall in the 1972 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota North Stars. Chris played very briefly for the Edmonton Oilers in 1977-78, their last year in the WHA.
