[edit] Image:Hdcset.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Hdcset.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
Go to the image description page and edit it to add{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mosmof 13:23, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, I tagged Image:Hdcset.jpg as a replaceable fair use image since it was used in Rece Davis. I've removed the tag, and simply took down the photo from the Rece Davis article. Mosmof 13:33, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Baseball Channel
It is too early for an article on the Baseball Channel, because there lacks enough info. The DirecTV deal is not finalized, and might not ever be due to the strong backlash. Any page on a MLB network at this point is merely speculation until MLB themselves announce it. Milchama 02:36, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, negotiations have been taking place since 04, but were then temporarily abandoned for a possible joint national sports network between MLB and Fox. That was contingent on them getting the 6 game NFL package that ultimately went to NFL Network. Although it has been reported that MLB has ressurected its plan for a standalone baseball channel, nothing official has been announced, until it is, all that we have to work on is speculation. A similar event took place in 2002, when the NBA and Time Warner were going to develop a sports network, but that fell through as well. Once there is concrete evidence that the baseball network will happen (and the articles about Extra Innings on DirecTV are not enough), then an article can be created. [edit] AfD nomination of Baseball Channel
An editor has nominated Baseball Channel, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Baseball Channel and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. [edit] Why did you restart the Baseball Channel article?
Baseball Channel, and The Baseball Channel were both deleted per crystal ball. Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/The_Baseball_Channel and Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Baseball_Channel. I know you disagree with this. However, I have requested both articles to be locked from editing until there is an announcement pertaining to this proposed network that does not have to do with the MLB Extra Innings deal with DirecTV. Milchama 13:55, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- The deal with DirecTV is done, including the carriage of a potential baseball channel. However, this does not necessarily mean this network will see the light of day. I think that more details need to be announced, like a deal to carry games, or leadership for the network, or carriage deals exclusively for the network not tied into MLB Extra Innings before there should be an article.
