I don't think this needs it's own page. If someone insists one keeping this, then it should rather be moved to list of fictional foods or something similiar. Fuelbottle 00:41, 11 Apr 2004 (UTC)

  • Redirect to Southpark. Bensaccount 02:06, 11 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • second redirect. Exploding Boy 09:30, Apr 11, 2004 (UTC)
  • Seeing how Duff Beer has its own article, I don't see why Salty Chocolate Balls shouln't. Mkweise 15:28, 11 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Merge and redirect to South Park is also fine with me, I don't know enough about the series to know whether it deserves an article or not. I'd guess someone will make them under licence before too long! A fictional foods article is a good idea. But in any case we should at least keep a redirect to South Park under this title. • Keep, could be made into a fairly interesting article and is also the title of a song on South park soundtrack album (don't get me wrong, this entry sucks as is, but it can be salvaged) Ensiform 04:43, 12 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, or merge/redirect. I agree with Mkweise, but this article's content is paltry. Cribcage 06:56, 12 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Redirect to Southpark unless someone decides to write an article about the topic. Maximus Rex 06:58, 12 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Ditto what Maximus Rex said. Or create an separate article describing the puns and in-jokes on the program that don't merit their own articles. Bkonrad | Talk 14:06, 12 Apr 2004 (UTC) Keep, RadicalBender's expansion tipped the scale for me. Bkonrad | Talk 16:01, 12 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • I've expanded to this silly little article. Keep. RADICALBENDER 14:12, 12 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep - getting kinda long for a merge. Looks good as-is - Tεxτurε 15:41, 12 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Shouldn't this be "Chocolate Salty Balls" not "Salty Chocolate Balls"? MK 16:39, 12 Apr 2004 (UTC)
    • Yes! Yes, MK, it should. Good eye. The song, as listed on the Chef Aid soundtrack, is "Chocolate Salty Balls (P.S. I Love You)". So when this VfD is resolved, maybe a redirect or something is called for. Ensiform 22:55, 13 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep (and, as noted, move to proper title). -Sean 07:27, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Salty Chocolate Balls? Aren't those a food from South Park? Then keep. Wiwaxia 02:28, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Move to Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls; this is the full name of the product, and also the name of the episode they appeared in. -Branddobbe 21:45, Apr 18, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. BL 07:34, Apr 19, 2004 (UTC)

Consensus to keep. DJ Clayworth 21:15, 19 Apr 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Salty Chocolate BallsChocolate Salty Balls

  • Article is improperly named. Original source is an episode of South Park entitled "Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls" (TV Tome is only one to call it Salty Chocolate Balls) see Season 2 for verification of title. Song is titled "Chocolate Salty Balls {PS I Love You)". Song lyrics are "...suck on my chocolate, salty balls." So why is article at Salty Chocolate Balls? The VfD discussion notes this mistake as well. Alkivar 22:29, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)

  • I think the article should actually be at Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls, (this is the title of the episode according to southparkstudios.com, which is affiliated with comedy central) since ideally the article should include episode info, since all the other info and the song come from that episode. [edit] Weirdness

[edit] yummy?

has anyone actually teempted to make these yet? if no one makes it soon i may have to, it has been a topic of discussion for a few years now but i dont think anyone has had the time or the chocolateballs to make them The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.164.9.51 (talk • contribs) .

I have tried making them before. They didn't turn out in a spherical shape, it was more like brownies, but they were damn good. --Itsthinking 00:52, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merger Heading

That stupid merger heading has been on this article for over two years, and the debate ended at around that time. There's no reason for it to still be up. -123fakestreet

I'm taking it down. If someone feels it's necessary for that thing to be up there then by all means put it back. -123fakestreet

[edit] recipe

Ok that recipe did not work at all. I think there was too much sugar.

[edit] Schweddy Balls?

Does anyone know if there is any connection between the Chocolate Salty Balls bit and the 'Schweddy Balls' skit on Saturday Night Live? It aired just a few months after this episode, and is extremely similar (a confection with a suggestive name containing the word 'Balls' and numerous double entendres), or is it entirely a coincidence?

[edit] Salty Chocolate Balls

I just watched this episode about 2 minutes ago and I notice the lyrics were "Salty Chocolate Balls" not "Chocolate Salty Balls" so If it's ok with everyone, I'm going to change it.--Xsamix 15:24, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

oops never mind.

Would it be too politically incorrect to mention that the reference to chocolate has to do with the fact that Chef is black?

Well, as "chocolate" is an euphimism referring to black persons' genitalia, and balls can also mean testicles, I would call this more an extremely clever pun, but nmot politically incorrect.--Orthologist 18:21, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Prior work?

Wasn't this an Isaac Hayes song long before its appearance on South Park? --Darth Borehd 05:13, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

I don't think so; its writers are Matt and Trey.--Orthologist 18:22, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
